Missions Trips Summer 2016
This year we are taking five missions trips. Colombia
, and Panama
June 20 - 27
Our first global initiative this Summer, as a church, is to Chia, Colombia.
We will be there from June 20-27. During our trip we will help run a basketball camp that includes Bible & English lessons, visit an orphanage,
have various outreaches to children and preach the Word in an number of church contexts! Every day will start with
a devotional by our missionary Jose Alonso and end with a team discussion about the events of the day.
Please pray for us as we seek to "Live Sent" for the glory of God and the good of the Colombian people.
The missions team is comprised of Shari, Cammy, McKenzy, Kris, Pastor Walker, Lance, Sharon, and Chris.
July 4 - 11
Our second interational missions trip this summer is to Jonc-Dodin, Haiti. We are excited to serve along side of Pastor Renel and the other pastors and deacons in Jonc-Dodin, Fliyo, Debas, Belvi, and their newest church plant in Lope.
Some of our goals for this mission trip will be:
1. Encourage the local pastors and leaders in a three day leadership training seminar.
2. Demonstrate God's love to our brothers and sisters in Haiti by our visits, prayers and gifts. We will be going on visitation on two days.
3. Be witnesses of God's amazing grace (outreach/evangelism) wherever we may go. We will be having some evangelistic meetings.
The Haiti missions team is Tim, Villate, Emelyn, Walt, Dennis, and Pastor Crompton.
July 25 - August 2
The church's third missions trip is to Ecuador. We are going to support and work with our missionary Jeff Davoll in the city of Manta which was devastated by the earthquake earlier this year.
We plan to spend most of our time trying to share Jesus with those we meet in different parts of the city through various methods including:
Skits, music, testimony, puppets, and Bible messages.

The church's fourth mission trip is to Boston. We are going to support and work with our former member of Faith Baptist Church, Tyler Burns. Tyler has been working with the youth at the church and is making a push to try to launch a youth ministry in the city. We plan on supporting him as we plan and prepare a youth activity as well as supporting Mosaic Boston Church in various outreach activities and events.

Faith's fifth and final missions trip in 2016 is to Panama. Pastor Edwards will lead the team to serve in the mountain regions at church services and in construction work, at public school visits, at a sports outreach in David, a revival service in Kuna and a children's rally in Panama City. They will be using the newly acquired facility at David for their headquarters and branch out from their to the mountains and Kuna islands. The team is looking forward to a busy week of service. Remember to pray each day for the Lord to lead the team to live sent.
